Camero Kayaks Manufacturing Process
Camero Kayaks manufacture our kayaks in our factory at Lonsdale, SA with a custom-built rotational moulding machine. We have refined our equipment and processes over many years to provide a constant heat temperature ensuring a consistent 5mm wall thickness for all of our kayaks. This is critical in that inconsistencies in wall thickness can significantly affect the stability and performance of a kayak. Our kayaks feature a 5mm material thickness across the hull, deck and sides making them easy to extremely durable, evenly weighted, stable and easy to paddle. We even sandblast the deck of our kayaks to make getting in and out more safer and more comfortable.
Over time we have developed several proprietary moulds based on feedback from our customers making our kayaks better and better every summer. As water sports enthusiasts ourselves, we pay attention to every minor detail that affects the stability, practicality, performance, and comfort of our kayaks. This includes aspects as minor as the height of a seating area for maximum comfort, the position of fishing rod holders making them easy to reach in one of our fishing kayaks or even the design of a kayak to suit one, two or three paddlers.
